Master Scheduler – AZ
The Scheduler /Planner will:
• Optimize order inceptions to ensure punctual delivery goals
• Provide precise and well-timed order status information to meet operational needs and exceed customer needs
• Reduce communication failures between multi- functioning departments
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Material management to align with work order release
• Oversee documentation preparation- work order printing and router review
• Schedule job starts and providing daily queue list updates to operations
• Assist with schedule development and implementation on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Define and communicate cross functional action plans to meet production and delivery commitments
• Coordination with Programming to set priority schedule to meet on time order start requirements
• Production status management- participates in daily production meetings and provides order level status review in support of weekly targets
• Customer order status management- provide details to support customer open order status reporting to weekly schedule
• Provide input to the scheduling and planning organization to ensure the core responsibilities of the department are met
• Managing schedule for changes due to replacement, expedite requests, and material shortage
• Release work orders to operations/ production
• Ability to provide a rolling analysis ( 12 week minimum) of open backlog to assist management with understanding the demand requirements ( Forecast or Future Look)
• Inventory management and cycle count accuracy- provide needed plant level support to operations, and accounting to maintain accurate valuation
• Capacity management and staffing recommendations- provide information to operations management and HR to identify potential conflict in meeting order commitment dates
Required Experience:
• Knowledge of master scheduling and production planning process
• Team Player who can handle working under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to create a comprehensive plan and effectively communicate plan requirements to cross functional organization
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Polished personal work ethic and dependability is required
• Solid interpersonal communication skills and a desire to lead and work with others
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing master scheduling in a production role is required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Aerospace manufacturing
• Above average understanding of Lean manufacturing process is a plus
• Experience with production software and Advanced skills with MS Excel & MS Outlook
• Job Boss experience
Educational Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Read, write, understand and speak English fluently.
Work Authorization
• United States citizenship required
